The North American Chinese Invitational Volleyball Tournament (NACIVT) is held every Labour Day Weekend and features teams from across Canada and the USA. Other mini invitational tournaments are held throughout the season in New York, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, and San Francisco leading up to the final tournament.  ​

 

The men's tournament, established in 1945, is played with 9 players on either side of the court. The women's tournament, established in 1977, is played with traditional 6 on 6 volleyball rules.
